Our Team
Christ Community Church Pastor Elect
Christ Community Church is excited to announce Pastor Mike Brunjes as our senior pastor and teaching elder. Through a unanimous decision, the Pastor Search Team recommended Mike to the congregation and, in turn, the congregation unanimously voted to call Mike as our next pastor!
Excerpts from Mike’s Theological Vision & Philosophy of Ministry
Identity marks of the church, describing who and what is the body of Christ:
1. Gospel Centered – the “good news,” IS grace – amazing, free, unlimited
2. Missional – more than a source of mission, the local, Christ-centered church is where we encounter the saving presence of God. “Participational” vs. just “declarative” apologetics
3. Confessional – Scripture is our only rule of faith and practice, and we read and interpret the Scripture with the consensus of our fathers and mothers using the Confessions of Faith
4. Sacramental – Christ’s presence is made known in a carefully designed, Gospel-centered worship service, characterized by the full range of emotions fitting an encounter with the living God (yearning, wonder, joyfulness, sadness, resoluteness, humbleness…)
5. Shepherded and Communal – We seek a more intentional, studied, and worked out understanding of the extent and limits of church power under Christ’s shepherding care. Life-on-life (vs just curriculum-on-life) discipleship. A community that shares its burdens with one another

We, the Pastor Search Team, are thankful for the support of the church family throughout this process. We are excited to welcome Mike, April, and their family into our family as we let God do a new thing!

The Pastor Search Team
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
Marianne Maarsingh, Children's Ministry Director
Marianne grew up in the Netherlands and came to faith as a young girl. Before graduating from the University of Groningen with a BA degree in Psychology, she completed a gap year at the Evangelische Hogeschool, which built her trust in God. Since 2006, Marianne is very happily married to Harm and they have four wonderful daughters and one precious son. In 2013, the Lord directed them to move from the Netherlands to South Florida, and since then they have enjoyed being part of Christ Community Church. She loves to spend time outside with her family, sip at a hot tea, and be at the ocean.
Marianne has seen God’s goodness and faithfulness in her life, and she feels honored to tell the next generation about Him. At CCC she is committed to teach children of all ages from the Bible, let them be an active part of the Church Family, come alongside parents in the walk of faith, and spend quality time with each other.
